With advanced technology evolving how we think and process things, digital distractions like phones and gadgets have become very common in our everyday lives. Using social media and playing games has proved to be the biggest distraction for people of every demographic.

The biggest distraction nowadays is considered as smartphones and gadgets. Scrolling through social media and the availability of games has made it easier to use such devices for distraction purposes. Sometimes we want that sort of distraction to busy ourselves with destructive thoughts. While other times we are unconsciously reaching out for our phones during a work meeting or a study session. This hinders our progress as well.
There are many entertainment programs around us. TV series and streaming services are some of them. They might be a great way to entertain us but are definitely considered to be big distractions as well. If they are available at home, chances are, we’ll be using them during our free time.
There are workplace challenges like meetings while working or events happening during work hours. These make it hard to concentrate on work related tasks and give our all. Productivity and performance are highly important when it comes to things like that.
When you’re responsible for household work and other tasks at home, it is hard to continue working and studying. Household tasks like washing dishes, cooking, or cleaning are time-consuming and are done with a lot of effort. These tasks and minor interruptions accumulate and turn out to be huge distractions.
